Christine Anu is one of Australia’s most celebrated and enduring artists, with a career spanning more than three decades across music, theatre, television, radio and live performance.

A proud Torres Strait Islander woman with ancestral ties to Saibai and Mabuiag Islands, Christine is renowned for bringing together culture, language and storytelling in work that is both deeply personal and universally engaging. Best known for her iconic recording of My Island Home, Christine has continually embraced new creative challenges. Most recently, she received widespread acclaim for her performance as Hermes in the Australian production of Hadestown and released her bilingual album Waku-Minaral a Minalay, performed in Kalaw Kawaw Ya and inspired by the songs, language and stories of the Torres Strait.
